1920s Large Jardiniere from Lee Clay Products Co.

About the Item

Featured on the cover of the Arts & Crafts poster for the 2013 Exhibition "The Things We Made: Decorative Works from Lee Clay Products" showcasing their best works produced by the company that existed in Clearfield, Kentucky that shuttered over half a century ago. This model is rare, considered their best work and rarely seen in such good condition. The Jardiniere is heavy, is just over 19" tall and 12" wide. It features an Art Deco motif around the top rim. It is decorative in nature and would be OK to use as a dry floor vase as it features firing cracks (to base only) and other unique characteristics from being fired. Beyond a few marks to piece, it is otherwise in excellent condition and an excellent example of their efforts. Produced from sewer line clay.
