A Magnificent and Large 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Patinated and Doré Bronze Jardinière/Planter, Attributed to F. Barbedienne The large and imposing piece features a regal rim adorned with stylized ferns made of doré bronze, which are flanked by two magnificent ringed handles. The patinated bronze body is exquisitely sculpted with cherubs and women dancing around it playing musical instruments, creating a beautiful and lively scene with a doré bronze sculpted head of the God Cernunnos smiling at the viewer and flanking either side. The piece sits on a base of doré bronze with intricate geometric patterns, wrapped in draped foliate strands of doré bronze. Delicate scrolled legs add an elegant touch to the overall design.
