This stoneware brush pot beautifully exemplifies this traditional form with the classical artistry of Chinese blue-and-white ceramics. Loosely brushed atop a cool white field is an idyllic scene of lively birds and butterflies amid delicately flowering tree peonies. Cobalt brushstrokes sweep across the pot like wind, animating the setting with subtle movement.
