French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu centerpiece tazza

About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu centerpiece tazza. This stunning centerpiece is raised by a triangular base with concave sides and showcasing a wonderful satin and burnished finish. Impressive and richly chased pawed feet support the tazza and lead to large scale foliate designs and acanthus leaves below scrolled foliate movements. The central fut showcases stunning elongated acanthus leaves which surround the fut and scroll outward before meeting the fluted socle pedestal and rosette designed capital. The circular bowl above is tastefully decorated with berried foliate designs and acanthus leaves wrapping around the rim centered by a satin an burnished interior.
