John Follis & Rex Goode 1960s Architectural Pottery Bisque "Tire" Planter

About

An original vintage 1960s John Follis & Rex Goode designed "Tire" planter for renowned case study outdoor outfitter Architectural Pottery. This is the 18" diameter and 11.25" tall version with a bisque or unglazed surface. As is common with Architectural Pottery production pieces from this period it appears to have a faint USA inscribed to base rather than their impressed circular mark. Condition is very good to excellent overall showing appropriate light age soil discoloration to surfaces. Interior shows darkened hard water staining from use and a couple manufacturing flaws to foot. No chips, cracks, repairs, or other damage.
