Pair Hugo Lonitz Partridge Stands with Original Pots

About the Item

Pair of Hugo Lonitz Majolica original cache pots with stands which feature partridges in front of an oak tree, with reeds and bulrushes (cattails) either side. One partridge is looking after her young chicks. Removable, original pots. Colouration: green, brown, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Lonitz pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1203' (with chicks) and '1204'.

    Repaired: Stand with chicks: RESTORATION. Stand upper section reglued around trunk behind the partridge and join retouched. Filled chips to a few of the oak leaves on the top of the stand. The associated pot has stabilised and retouched cracks throughout. Stan. Stand with chicks: Generally Good. Repairs - see repairs notes. Stand without chicks: Good. Repairs - see repairs notes.
