This is a vintage decorative jardiniere stand. An Italian, green onyx planter pedestal, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Striking stand with attractive colour and form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Green onyx shows superb vein detail with contrasting golden palette
Distinctive quarterfoil shield podium top with reverse tiered edges
Gilt metal collar shows strong Corinthian influence with scrolled forms
Fluting to the column continues the classical taste
Circular tiered base with carved forms and gilt cover decorated with foliate detail
This is an attractive vintage decorative jardiniere stand, exuding Italianate detail with classical influences throughout. Delivered polished and ready for the home.
