This is breathtaking! It is an early 19th century bronze volute krater by Benedetto Boschetti, a Roman artisan. It is marked. The marble base is 4.5” square. It is a stunning example of the bronze pieces completed and intended for the wealthy gentlemen who took the “Grand Tour” before settling down after their educations were complete.
