Pair Of 19th Century Ormolu & Bronze Ewers In The Renaissance Style

About the Item

With classical scenes depicting frolicking cherubs in relief, the top surmounted with a musical bronze cherub on a vine cast handle with bird and ram masks on a domed and vine cast circular foot. A pair of Renaissance style antique French patinated bronze ewers depict Bacchanalian putti playing. A cherub sits atop the handle holding an item in his hands. The musicians are putti with horns and drums, two dancing putti on either side; a cherub is pulling a goat by its horns towards the cart the goat should be pulling; a putto is sitting in the cart trying to steer, while two other putti are pushing and pulling the cart towards the goat. These have been drilled for lamps and can have these lamped once again if required within the price.
