Pair of Antique Italian Majolica Italian Blue and Green Two Handled Urns

About the Item

From Italy, this colorful pair of antique Majolica urns have different, hand-painted, scenes on each urn. On the bodies are brightly colored scenes with churches, figures, and landscaping from Grecian or Roman times. A lovely pair of antique Majolica two-handled footed urns in green, blue, and white coloration. Charming country scene of a church on one side with dragons or serpents on the reverse. The graceful handles end in cobalt masks on either side of these urns. The bases and throats of each urn are highly decorated with gold, blue, and green patterns. They are from an important Majolica collectors collection amassed in the 1960s and would look lovely on a sideboard, console table, or in an outdoor terrace setting. These Italian Majolica urns from the 19th Century will highlight any area they are placed in.
