1915 Art Nouveau Rookwood Soft Porcelain Pottery #935E by William E. Hentschel

About the Item

This stunning vase from, Ohio, around 1901, a Rookwood Pottery Arts and Crafts vase in matte very moss blue-green hue. Matte glazed and incised, designated as form number 935E, was crafted. Its surface showcases a mottled and textured finish, adding depth and character to its appearance. This art pottery construction features a matte glaze, with stylized Greek-like swirl elements incorporated into its design. The last photo is in bright lighting that depicts true color. The underside of the vase features an impressed Rookwood signature alongside the date code "1915" and the artist's signature "ARW". Additionally, remnants of the original Rookwood label can still be found on the vase, further attesting to its authenticity and historical significance. The Roman numerals: XV equate to "15" The manufacturing date is 1915 Signed: "935E" shape number "P" soft porcelain. Signed by and the incised cipher for the artist, William E. Hentschel Dimensions: 7" tall by 4" W Hentschel (1892 – 1962): Rookwood designer, Printmaker.
