20th Century Italian Solid Silver Vase with Handles in the Etruscan Style
About the Item
Vase in Etruscan style with handles in silver, completely handmade in Italy in solid 800 silver.
The embossing and the chisel reproduce scenes of Etruscan life, tipic from the pre-Roman period.
The base is round and smooth, while allegorical scenes with male and female characters have been chiseled on the body and subsequently burnished.
Chiseled and gilded frames reproduce fruits and leaves.
The handles were made in a slab and knurled.
Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war.
A great many high-quality silverware was born where exceptional pieces were produced that now decorate the most prestigious houses.
The vase has some details where the antioxidant lacquer that has been put to guarantee its brilliance has been damaged.
The vase, at the request of the customer, will be delivered polished and completely relacquered.
Structural interventions should not be carried out as the vase has no dents.
