Art Nouveau Iridescent Glass Vase Attributed To Loetz Witwe, Bohemia, ca. 1915
About the Item
Enchanting, highly decorative iridescent glass vase from the Art Nouveau period in Bohemia around 1915. A truly beautiful piece of glass art from the early 20th century, attributed to Loetz Witwe. An extraordinary design with a lovely amber/brown colored elegant shaped mouthblown body which impresses with its shimmering so-called "iridescent" surface. Depending on the incidence of light it magically changes its colors from different green, purple, blue and oragne tones to red, gold or yellow - a really impressive play of colors. This exceptional glass vase is additionally adorned by a white pulled feather design. The vase´s wide opening confering it the look of a big blossom shows a incredible looking iridized yellow, gold and pink shine. An exceptional example of early 20th century glass art coming in flawless original condition.
