Bitossi Studio Pottery Lava Glaze Vase Pitcher Italy 1960s

About the Item

Bitossi Studio Pottery vase or pitcher is a beautiful example of Italian mid-century modern art ceramics. It is decorated in bold abstract pattern using gloss, semi-matte, and lava glazes, creating a textured, tactile surface. Dominant earthy tones of brown, orange, and yellow are offset against thin bands of bright teal. The interior of the piece is glazed in warm brown. The piece is clearly signed at the bottom. The vase is in excellent vintage condition.
