Bud vase
About the Item
A sculpture with a purpose, this bud vase is a staple in Teste’s work. Glazed in a shino pale pink glaze with an interesting craze, it has a strong presence despite its reduced scale.
Decorative use only. The crazing does not affect the structure.

French, 1986, lives and works in Paris, France.
Teste’s work focuses on the visual surprise born from collages between contemporary culture, and references to ancient worlds.
Often leading to meditative, or theatrically narrative pieces, her self-taught technique combined with a keen eye for colours allows her instinctive and playful approach.
Teste works from photographic sources - museum catalogs or paintings.
These are a starting point, then the piece becomes a instinctive mash-up of historical influences and personal fantasy.
