Mid-Century, vintage 'Opalino' Murano glass pen holder with an embossed gold plated rim attributed to Cenedese, circa 1950-1970. Wonderful translucent color of soft pink with a 24 carat gold-plated metal rim / edge. Simplistic yet elegant form. A very beautiful small square mini vase or pen holder - perfect for holding pens or other desk accessories or for make-up brushes or could be perfect for holding cigarettes.
The vessel measures approximately 6.6cm tall by 5.2cm by 5.2cm.

The filigree/filigrana glass is a cane with a color inside. Usually clear on the outside with a core in colored or opaque glass. Most used are white or black filigrana.
