Charles CATTEAU (Douai 1880 - Nice 1966) for BOCH FRERES Art Deco Grès Keramis vase with stylized bellflowers, Belgium, early 20th.
Four bouquets of stylised bell flowers, surrounded by leaves and small flowers, decorate the neck and the body. Neck finished with a black stripe. Ground of highly diluted pale colours, stumped.
Material:Stoneware
Technique:Slip-cast form. Decoration with printed contours finished with matt black, blue, beige, ochre, brown and green glazes on a ground of superimposed and blended matt white, greenish and brown glazes. The ochre is mottled with brown.
