Brass Container with Lid Handcrafted by Franz Peters, 1950s
About the Item
Tactile and curvaceous hand driven brass vessel or container with lid signed Franz J. Peters Stolberg RH, Peters, 1913-1977. In this handcrafted container the traces of his hand driven tools are visible and decorative. Peters was a blacksmith and sculptor was a master in metal craft and comes from generations of copper smiths and painters. He was a master in metalwork using copper, brass, bronze, steel and tin for creating lighting, bowls to small sculptures and reliefs.
