About the Item
A COLLECTION OF THREE MINATURE COBRIDGE, POPPY & ICE PATTERN, HANDPAINTED VASES
One of Cobridge Pottery’s most popular patterns, designed by artist Anita Harris, leading designer at Cobridge, Moorcroft & her own studio
- Beautiful, lively, naturalistic pattern with an impressionistic quality diffusing and softening the poppies and ice into the sky blue background.
- Each vase is handpainted, reflecting the painter’s hand and interpretation of the pattern. On these minature vases the pattern is pared down on this vase to a minimal quality
- Juxtaposes with period interiors and blends into modern and contemporary schemes.
- Exquisitely painted, most likely by Anita Harris, marked AH © 03 underneath.
- The tones of blue, red, green and titanium white are warm and harmonise with most colour schemes.
- Provenance : Private Collection. Collected for the subtle differences of the painting on each vase reflecting the hand of different artists or a different interpretation by the same artist.
- Can be sold as a collection or individually.

Cobridge, an area of The Potteries, was featured in the Industrial Landscapes that were planned to furnish some of the designs for the new range. Its skyline was dominated in earlier years by bottle kilns, now mainly demolished, and Cobridge was chosen as the new name. The Cobridge Pottery was set up in a new imposing building a couple of hundred yards from the Moorcroft pottery and the official opening was in September 1998.
