Colourful Set of 7 Oiva Toikka "Bambu" Vases, Nuutajärvi 1960s

About the Item

Strikingly colorful vases that will not shy in any interior and can add to any colorful collection of vases. The Bambu vase is one of Toikka's most recognizable pieces made in a variety of different colors and sizes. These vases are in good condition without any flaws. All pieces are signed "Oiva Toikka Nuutajärvi Notsjö". Professor Oiva Toikka (1931-2019) was one of the greatest Finnish glass personalities along with Tapio Wirkkala and Timo Sarpaneva. He was very imaginative and courageous in his designs. His career started in 1960s and spand for decades to come. His art glass objects and birds are highly sought-after collectibles worldwide. The smaller vases are 25-28cm tall and the bigger ones 42cm. All vases are signed Oiva Toikka Nuutajärvi
