Common Embrace

About the Item

This piece is a stoneware vase made through coil building and glazed in chocolate. It belongs to the series Caves, Bodies and Vessels that was part of 100 Vases Milán 2020. It is inspired by neolithic and Paleolithic symbols of the sacred feminine; a time where caves and bull horns were symbols of matriarchal deities and where collectiity and community were part of the cosmology and culture. These notions, that challenge current patriarchal premises of individuality and self success, are contained in these handmade vessels as daily reminders of our heritage as women and as a collective society.
