Contemporary Japanese Gold Red White Porcelain Vase by Master Artist, 2

About the Item

Exquisite Japanese museum quality contemporary decorative porcelain vase in an extraordinary shape featuring two fascinating and detailed geometric progression patterns extremely intricately hand painted in red and blue with generous gold details, a signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed and award-winning master porcelain artist, and the younger of a two-brother team of master porcelain artists working in the historic Imari-Arita region of southern Japan. He is second-to-none in creating extremely complicated geometric patterns by applying the most sophisticated and demanding techniques of miniature painting to the complex and curved surfaces of porcelain pieces. The two patterns are hand painted, one in stunning red and gold on a white background, and the other in an extremely intricate detailed pattern in iron-red and gold. This mesmerizing vase features six diagonal panels with two distinct intricate diamond patterns that combine gold and iron-red set against a pristine white background. The geometric progression is carefully calibrated to create a kaleidoscopic effect and the focal point of the medallion is placed slightly north of centre to more effectively capture and hold the eye. Panels showcasing a different geometric intricate diamond pattern in soft blue and green against a stunning iron-red background appear between the panels with the white background. The two patterns complement and accentuate each other, creating a stunning pallet. The base, neck and the outer rim are decorated with a delicate diamond pattern in dark blue, gold and red, while the top has a delicate band repeating one of the main diamond patterns. This extraordinary vase comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 12 in, D 7 in.
