In collaboration with the school Istituto Caselli and the Royal Factory of Capodimonte, Patricia Urquiola designed a limited edition of porcelain artworks that tell a story of alchemy and experimentation. The collection is produced by Made in Edit. Hybrida is a project that translates manual skills and artisan talent into hybrid shapes and figures that populate the table set up. Traditional handcraft processes meet experimental ones, like the immersion in porcelain of unconventional materials, such as sponges and cotton, alongside the mosses from the Real Bosco that surrounds the Royal Factory. In 2020 MADE IN EDIT invites Patricia Urquiola to visit the Istituto a Indirizzo Raro Caselli Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte inside the Real Bosco, discovering its ancient tradition and the cloister where the school's didactic garden was originally located. The students of ceramic art have always used botanical references, taking them directly from plants, which are a primary source of inspiration and exercise.
