Crystal Vase with Cut Sides Cristallerie Saint Louis

Large cut crystal vase with cut sides circa 1940.
Stamped under the St Louis base.
Small chip under the vase, a scratch at the top of the vase and a small scratch in the middle of the vase (see photos).
Vase mate inside to give it more relief.
Measures: Height: 30cm

Base diameter: 11 cm

Saint Louis
The oldest French glassworks, founded in 1586, renamed in 1829 under the name, Compagnie des Verreries et Cristallerie de Saint Louis, is located in Saint Louis lès Bitches, in Moselle (57). It is interested in all innovations in the glass industry. The crystal glass sets that have become their specialty Stand out as much for the brilliance and beauty of the material as for the richness of the colors and the perfection of the cuts. The irreproachable quality of Saint Louis, requires multiple controls and the elimination by the breakage of nearly 40 parts out of 100. It does not leave two absolutely identical articles! Since 1995, Saint-Louis has been owned by the Hermès group.
