Dragonfly Stem Glass Vase Paglierino colour Blown Murano Glass Venice Italy 1980s. Entirely handcrafted in the 1980s, this extraordinary stemware is the result of the finest Murano blown glass technique. Attributed to Vintage Murano Gallery , one of the famous Venetian glassblower in Murano, the stemware is composed of a central body, from which two broad glass arms branch off as if to create the figure of a dragonfly. The refinement of this piece of art is emphasized by its colour, the bottom of the central body and of both arms is technically known as colour Paglierino in the Venetian tradition, fading toward the outside to leave only a slightly darker Paglierino tone. Paglierino is a grade of colour known as an ancient grade of colour in the Venetian tradition. This stemware stands out not only for its delicacy and its flawless workmanship, but also for the extravagance of its shape, that recalls the wonders of the natural world.
