Exceptional pair Dr. wall period Royal Worcester exotic bird 22" vases c1770 An extortionary pair of early Worcester porcelain vases from the first Dr. Wall period. These very large vases depict fine quality hand painted exotic birds in multiple panels and a dark blue ground with a black scale design. The rims with gilt bronze mount likely originally had lids. Additional Information: Year Manufactured: 1770 Brand: Royal Worcester Color: Blue Theme: Birds Type: Vase Dimension: 12.5 in. diameter x 22 in. tall Condition: Excellent condition with no cracks or restoration. One vase with a couple minor chips to the underside as well as a couple notable scratches. Both with minor surface wear or superficial scratches consistent with use and age. Minor gilt loss consistent with handling.
