Tektōn was established in 2018 by two hardworking and talented gentlemen, Akram Barsoum, an architect, and Joseph Mansour, an automotive engineer. In spite of the tough competition and their limited capital, Akram and Joe were unlike most entrepreneurs who would have waited for ‘favorable and good’ conditions and ‘perfect’ timing to start their business initiative, but both challenged themselves and went ahead with their carpentry workshop idea. They believed in their capacity, knowledge, talent, and tenacity. The first couple of years were hard graft as the two worked very long days and did everything themselves. With non-stop hard work and dedication, they were able to grow their small furniture business into a successful venture with over 25 permanent staff located in their furniture factory. Tektōn is a common term for a craftsman, in particular a carpenter, woodworker, or builder in Ancient Greek. A craftsman puts love into and passion for whatever artwork they create. That is exactly how we do work everyday. Our mission is simple yet profound: to breathe life into spaces, infuse them with beauty, and bring transformative design to your world. Through our Design House services and a range of exquisite wood furnishings and luxurious home accessories, we cater to the discerning tastes of wood and luxury enthusiasts.
