Japanese Porcelain Vase in Blue Platinum by Contemporary Master Artist

About the Item

Extraordinary mesmerizing hand painted platinum gilded large decorative porcelain vase showcasing the artist’s signature blue that provides a perfect backdrop for a stylized line of trees expressed in platinum that encircles the vase. This creation is a masterpiece by a highly celebrated second generation porcelain artist of the Kutani region of Japan. Still active in his eighties, the artist’s works have been added to the permanent collections of a wide range of museums around the world, including the Smithsonian’s Sackler Gallery (1993) and the Uzbekistan Museum of Applied Arts (2005). For his lifelong contributions to porcelain arts, the artist was decorated with the Japanese government’s Order of the Sacred Treasure (2005). The artist’s profile is available on request. The signature colors and patterns , the exquisite shape and the size of the vase make it a memorable piece and an excellent centerpiece.
