Italian Ceramic Vase, the Slave by Vito Nesta

About the Item

"Lo Schiavo" vase, born for the personal exhibition of the designer Vito Nesta "Musica da Viaggio. Vito Nesta nelle stanze di Giuseppe Verdi" which took place during the Salone del Mobile 2019 at the Grand Hotel et de Milan. The vase is the reinterpretation of a large marble sculpture usually placed in the entrance hall of the Hotel, a 19th century allegory of the abolition of slavery in Brazil, whose law was signed by the imperial majesties Dom Pedro II of Braganza and Teresa Cristina di Borbone right during the stay at their hotel.
