Japanese Contemporary Green Blue Porcelain Vase by Master Artist, 3

About the Item

Exceptional Japanese contemporary hand painted decorative porcelain vase, a masterpiece by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist of the Kutani region of Japan, featuring an astonishing pattern created by applying various shades of green and blue. The creator of this work is a second-generation porcelain artist who spent most of his life working within the confines of the Ko-Kutanti (old Kutani) tradition of colors and designs. Upon turning 60, he forswore the world of tradition and had since dedicated himself to freely expressing his vision of life and nature, a pursuit that has given birth to stunningly expressive designs and colors. The artist’s profile is available upon request. This exquisite piece comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: D 9.5 in, H 4.5 in.
