Large WMF vase dating back to the 1920s or 30s. The tulip-shaped vase is elegantly elevated on a round base supported by three spheres. Its gold-ground wall is adorned with turquoise stylized pine branches in an Asian-inspired design, reflecting the artistic influences of the era.
WMF (formerly known as Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige.
The name 'Ikora', from a plant with brilliantly hued flowers endemic to south east was designed to express the costly and exclusive quality of this line in metal products.
