Limited Edition Vase in Black and White Marble, Made to order in Italy
About the Item
This minimalistic and playful vase in a bold black and white marble combination is a perfect item to add an authentic accent to any interior space. Made in Italy from natural marble, the Lumière vases offer playful shapes, clean silhouettes and high contrasts in black and white.
The “Lumière L White” item shown here is made of black "nero marquina" and the white "bianco assoluto" marbles. The individual marble blocks are glued together and machined, the piece is then finished by hand by craftsmen in the Carrara region of Tuscany, an area known to have pioneered the craftsmanship of marble since antiquity and is today considered to represent the best industry standard for marble work.
The artist was inspired by the play of placing stones on top of each other by the sea and how putting one shape on top of the other each time makes a new arrangement. The vases can sit alone or together in groups.
