Mid-Century Modern Sculptural Spherical Vase with Ovoid Opening by Rosenthal

About the Item

This refined and sculptural vase was designed in Germany by the esteemed maker Rosenthal circa 1960. It offers a spherical form with an ovoid slit. The exterior of the piece is tawny with umber detailing. The interior of the piece is also painted in umber. With its graphic, organic form and color palate, these piece exemplifies the qualities that discerning collectors adore in first rate Scandinavian Mid Century ceramics. This piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. It is signed on the bottom "Rosenthal Studio-Line Germany" and is in excellent vintage condition. Sweden, circa 1960 Dimensions: 5"W X 5"D X 4.75"H.
