About the Item
Monumental Art Nouveau period ceramic vase by the Austrian firm of Gerbing and Stephan, circa 1890s, measuring 32.5 inches and depicting exotic birds, finely painted and glazed. Underside stamped F&AG, the mark the firm adopted in the early 1890s. The firm was based in Podmokly, current day Czech Republic.

- Condition:Repaired: Cast in two pieces. Restoration to the vase where it meets the base. Additional unrestored chip to the vase. Original hardware partially replaced with epoxy used to adhere the vase to the base. Small circular chip to the glaze. Wear consistent with age and use.
