Mosko Anemone Vase by Nów

About the Item

Mosko Anemone vase by Nów Designed by Mosko Dimensions: D 30 x W 26 x H 20 cm Materials: porcelain, gold plated or platinated (on demand) Monika’s fascination for work with ceramic began with her first contact with soft clay. At first, formless mass allowed to embed figments of child’s imagination, presently it is a way of transferring emotions into the functional dimension. The history of the brand Mosko Ceramics has its origins in Wroclaw, where Monika graduates from the Fine Arts Academy and decides to rent the first workshop, at that time dedicated still to jewellery-making. Since 2017 she has been running an opened workshop in Warsaw where she concentrates on limited series of objects made from coloured porcelain and precious metals. She is inspired, though not literally, by the Japanese gesture art and by objects of everyday usage. She participated in exhibitions and study trips, including New York, Hungary, Great Britain, Belgium and Portugal. Her works find regular recipients in Europe, the USA, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and Australia. Nów: We are artisans and promoters of handcrafted production. We come from different parts of Poland, we have different professional experiences. We draw from tradition, although we do not strictly adhere to artisanal rules. We choose the freedom to experiment - with form, material, and the production process. We spread knowledge about contemporary Polish crafts in the country and abroad. We represent the interests of craftsmen in contacts with public institutions and business. Together, we create the New Moon Association. New Craft - an organization of modern craftsmen. Originators of the New Moon Association. New Craft are Olga Milczynska and Malgorzata Herman from Projekt Pracownie.

In collaboration with the school Istituto Caselli and the Royal Factory of Capodimonte, Patricia Urquiola designed a limited edition of porcelain artworks that tell a story of alchemy and experimentation. The collection is produced by Made in Edit. Hybrida is a project that translates manual skills and artisan talent into hybrid shapes and figures that populate the table set up. Traditional handcraft processes meet experimental ones, like the immersion in porcelain of unconventional materials, such as sponges and cotton, alongside the mosses from the Real Bosco that surrounds the Royal Factory. The name of the collection is Hybrida, conceived to reinterpret the eighteenth - century theme of great masterpieces of the traditional culture of Capodimonte ceramics...
