Murano Black White Stripes Italian Art Glass Sculptural Fazzoletto Flower Vase
About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown white and black Italian art glass fazzoletto flower vase. Created in the manner of Dino Martens and the Venini company. The vase has bands of alternating colors, creating a beautiful pattern. The black is not a true black but a very deep and dark wine red, that you can see when light passes through it. Otherwise it looks black. The top has pulled and pinched pieces along the rim creating the ruffle design. Very unusual color combination. Would make a great centerpiece on any dinning, console or coffee table. Display it as a sculptural piece, or fill it with flowers. midcentury era. Measures 6 1/2" tall x 8" long x 7" wide.
