Murano Glass Pulegoso Vase

About the Item

Vase from the island of Murano, Italy. This hand-blown vase is crafted using the pulegoso technique. Pulegoso glass, which appears full of bubbles, is made by injecting into the molten glass a component that reacts and in doing so releases gas bubbles. This technique was invented in the 1920s at Venini glassworks. This piece has been fused with brass and copper. Two vases are available - one vase has the listed diameter of 10.25”, the other has a diameter of 10”. Signed by Alberto Dona.
