Pair of Large Gilt and Pale Blue Opaline Vases, Napoleon III Period
About the Item
A very delicate pair of palest blue opaline glass vases dating from the mid-19th century (Napoleon III period), each skilfully hand blown and embellished with gilt. These vases have flared bases and rims that have been highlighted with golden bands to match the simple floral rosebud design on the wide necks. Placed in a setting where they will catch the sunlight, the translucent glass will amplify the light and glow in the most delightful manner.
