Pair 19th Century French Neoclassical Painted and Gilt Porcelain Trumpet Vases

About the Item

Decorate a console or a buffet with this elegant pair of antique vases from Paris. Crafted circa 1890, the tall neoclassical vessels feature a long, convex neck extending over a circular base. Each urn is gilt hand-painted with a several feminine portraits of flower arrangements tried up with ribbons and baskets, on a deep, cobalt blue background. The neck and rim are embellished with gilt decor throughout. The large vessels are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. and would make a lovely addition on a mantle, or a console in an entry way. They could also be converted into table lamps. Measures: 9" diameter 24" height.
