Stunning pair of French marble cassolettes on gilt stands
Such a great look to this highly decorative pair which are quite striking
We date these to circa 1880 and the look is high Empire, perfect for contemporary interiors
The marble - vert maurin des Alpes - stands the gilt legs supported by hoof feet
Of course the eye leads up the rams heads to the top of eah leg
The piece is surmounted by a gilt rocaille floral finial
We date these to circa 1880 and we purchased them from a dealer on Marche Biron at Paris antiques markets
The casting to the gilt is very detailed and ornate with a great patina
Offered in great shape ready for home use right away
