About the Item
A pair of vases molded as naturalistic plum tree trunks, with applied decorations of flowering plum branches. All are covered by a rich flambe glaze of predominantly fuchsia, with streaks of blue and purple.
The plum tree, whose buds are the first to bloom after winter, is one of the Three Friends of Winter, and a symbol of hope and transition.
The custom hardwood stands feature ruyi shaped feet.
