PAUSE by Vera Zornat
About the Item
"A ritual to keep you and the social energy in balance. A break with just yourself.
A moment when you need to enter a calm. Rest.
Take time every day, maybe several times.
Especially when you feel that there is not enough time. Put away everything and sit down.
Collect yourself, breath.
Start the cycle.
Watercloud, drop, puddle.
Let the mind wander.
Breath calm, deep.
Notice how the water moves.
When the drops run out, take a deep breath.
Perhaps you start the cycle another round."

- Black Unglazed Stoneware by Guy Marshall-BrownBy Guy Marshall-BrownLocated in София, BGThis sculptural object is a reflection upon the nordic-classicist architecture of Stockholm - produced by Marshall-Brown while on a long term graduate exchange between the Royal College of Art, London and Konstfack, Stockholm. The exchange was generously funded by the Anglo-Swedish society. The sculpture was press moulded using a complex multipart plaster mould. Inclusions were added to the clay body, so that when fired, they weep and ooze from the surface, creating small fissures and disturbances to the formal structure. Guy Marshall-Brown Guy Marshall-Brown is an artist, educator, and current practice-based research student - researching the relationship between architectural ruins and sculptural ceramic practice at University for the Creative Arts, UK. - Vera Huggins Doulton Lambeth Floral Presentation Vase Dated 1938By Doulton LambethLocated in Bishop's Stortford, HertfordshireA large and impressive Art Deco Doulton Lambeth floral decorated presentation vase made by renowned artist Vera Huggins and dated 1938. The large stoneware vase stands on a narrow round skirted foot with a wide bulbous body with a pinched neck and short everted rim. The body of the vase is decorated around the upper body with incised repeat large floral blooms set within an incised shaped border. The flowers are hand painted in tones of pink, brown and green and set against a pale green mottled ground with the borders in brown and the lower vase decorated in streaked flow blue glazes. The pattern around the top incorporates the initials E.F. along with the date 21.9.38 and believe that this was a unique presentation piece for a special event.
