Rare and Exceptional Art Deco Patte de Verre by Georges Despret

About the Item

A rare and exceptional vase with a raised decoration of magical bat like creatures, circa 1910-1920. Measures: Height 9 ¾ in., width 15 in., depth 12 in. George Despret (1862-1952) who having used the secrets of ancient Roman patte de verre, was considered the master of this technique. His rare techniques contributed greatly to glass art worldwide.

    This Boule vase “Ornament “ is a rare limited edition numbered 1/5 by Elizabeth Garouste was born in 1949 in Paris and Mattia Bonetti in 1952 in Lugano (Switzerland).
