Six Clear Olle Alberius Designed Vases From Orrefors

About the Item

DESCRIPTION Six Orrefors clear glass, hand blown, Flora vases designed by Olle Alberius in the 1970’s. The vases have a unique flower frog molded into the base. Born in 1926 in Sweden, glass designer and ceramicist Olle Alberius trained in ceramics at the Stockholm College of Art, Crafts and Design from 1952–56. Over the course of his career, he worked in ceramic design at Syco and Rörstrand (1963–71), and, beginning in 1971, designed pieces for renowned Swedish glassware company Orrefors. Alberius passed away in 1993. The approximate vase sizes are as follows: 12" h x 6 1/4" d 9 1/4" h x 5 1/4" d 8 1/4" h x 4" d 7 3/4" h x 3 1/4" d 4 1/8" h x 4 3/4" d 3 1/2" h x 3 5/8" d Three of the vases still have their original sticker, the remaining three do not.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. All the vases are in very good vintage condition. There is no chips, cracks or discolorations. There may be some slight scratching, especially on the bottoms from daily use.
