Tall Porcelain Sculpture and Vessel with Lid, White and Indigo by Jutta Albert

About the Item

Tall ornamental art vessel in triangular form with lid is hand formed in porcelain by international acclaimed ceramist Jutta Albert (B 1954, Germany). The white un-glazed body is elegantly decorated with inserted indigo porcelain relief shapes, technically called Intarsia. Inspiration is drawn from Asian calligraphy. Although the work refers to vessel forms it is essentially sculptural object. Formal precision, harmony and clarity are words that are used to describe key qualities in her work. Her works are found in private collections in Europe and Asia. since the early 1980's Provenance; Preowned and purchased from a gallery in Berlin.
