Vintage Blue Crystal Coquille Bowl by Paul Kedelv, Reijmyre Glasbruk, 1960s

About the Item

This vintage blue crystal coquille bowl is a decorative object with blue layers designed by the Sweden glass-artist Paul Kedelv in the 1960s. Produced for Reijmyre Glasbruk. Excellent conditions, marked and engraved on the base "Reijmyre bzw. Kosta". Paul Kedelv (Sweden, 1917-1990) The great glass designer began his artistic career from 1949 to 1956, when he created for the Swedish glass factory Flygsfors, which produced only window glass, then from 1952 specialized in multi-glasses. For his objects, Kedelv has chosen solid, rounded shapes and contrasting bright and trendy colors. Kedelv's commitment to Flygsfors lasted only seven years, the time to create an unmistakable style still today. Between 1956 and 1977, Kedelv worked in glass processing in Reijmyre. Then the glass artist designed products for the Nybro factories in Frøske and the glass hut in Fåglaviks.
