Vintage Spanish Aluminium and Brutalist Brass Vase by Alfonso Marquez
About the Item
Aluminium and brass brutalist style vase with handles by Alfonso Marquez (in the style of David Marshall). Very weighty and wonderfully tactile, this piece may be used as a flower vase or simply as an item of decor for the home or workplace. The shape is reminiscent of amphorae found in ancient Greece. The body consists of polished aluminium with the handles and mouth in brass. The maker's mark is out of sight in the very lower part of the body just above the flatter base. It is in fair overall condition with scratches, nicks, blemishes and chips throughout attesting to its characterful past. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying this listing for detailed views.
