About the Item
Very rare Modernist American Art Déco smoking table/ standing ashtray in the style of Walter von Nessen. The chase.
Machine Age. 1930s.
Chrome plated steel. Black lacquer finish.
Spherical retractable axle cup in black lacquered metal.
The folding button "ash awy" works perfectly.
Nice shelf for smoking utensils and glasses.
Heavy quality with slight signs of use.
The smoking tables of the twenties and thirties were an integral part of Art Déco villas, cruise ships and luxurious train compartments.
Despite its age, the smoking table is in good original condition, although it was certainly used frequently.
