An exceptional, fine and impressive antique German silver cordial/water jug; part of our dining silverware collection This exceptional antique German silver water jug has a circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot. The ovoid-shaped body of this impressive antique silver water jug is plain, with bands of tooled decoration to the tapering neck. The upper rim and spout of this exceptional antique silver jug is encompassed with an applied moulded border. This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with a plain elongated handle. The hallmarks to the underside of the jug includes: National mark/reichsmark: Crescent moon and crown (Halbmond und Krone) Silver quality/purity mark: 835 (.835, 835/1000) Maker's mark: Icon for Wilhelm Binder (Schwabisch Gmund, Germany) Condition This antique German silver water jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The jug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The German hallmarks struck to the underside of the base are all very clear. The body of this impressive jug is embellished with impressive chased leaf decoration, alternating with curvilinear bud style festoons and tiered organic motifs. The upper rim of the jug is encompassed with an applied moulded border, continuing to the bear style spout. This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with an opposing scroll handle ornamented with an impressive leaf decorated thumbpiece. The underside of the jug bears the retailer's mark 'Mappin & Webb, London'. This impressive jug was crafted by the renowned London silversmith John Newton Mappin of Mappin & Webb, and is a large example for its type. Condition This antique silver water jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.     An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Danish silver water/cordial jug made in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our range of collectable silverware. This exceptional antique Danish silver jug has a circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot, all in the Art Nouveau style. The surface of this antique water jug has a subtle planished finish. This impressive piece is fitted with a C-shaped handle, with a bifurcating upper portion and the original carved painted wood hand piece. The spout is embellished with a vase shaped design to the nadir. The underside of the Art Nouveau jug bears the engraved initials 'A.N' and date '1927', in addition to the hallmarks. The hallmarks struck to this silver jug include: Assay mark: Three Tower Mark, 20 (Copenhagen, 1920) Assay Master Mark: CFH (Christian F. Heise) Condition This antique Art Nouveau jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.     A 1920s sliver champagne cooler with lovely “repousse” embellishment of a cascading wreath of flowers. The handles have a geometric “Jugendstil” design.
