Art Deco Barware Silver Plate Cocktail Shaker, Eight Glasses and Tray Set, 1940s
About the Item
Silversmith Roux-Marquiand, Paris, designed this elegant Art Deco silver plate barware serving set in the 1940s. The three-sectioned designed cylindrical cocktail or Martini shaker has a removable cap and strainer. The set is complemented with eight silver plate cocktail glasses with the same geometric design and the matching rounded silver plate tray. Each piece is marked underside with legal silversmith hallmarks.
The bar set is in good condition, with minor wear on the metal due to regular use. The inside of the shaker shows some oxidation at the bottom. Check the close-up view. Two of the eight glasses also have some oxidation on the bottom inside. The tray has minor surface scratches due to standard use.
Measurements:
Shaker: 3.57 in diameter (9 cm) x 8.69 in high (22 cm).
Glasses: 2 in diameter (5 cm) x 2.75 in high (7 cm).
Tray: 9.25 in diameter (23.5 cm) x 0.82 in high (2 cm).
